Runs like a champ shutters really hard sometimes going in the fourth gear once I give it gas it goes away could be a mount for a universal joint?

Did you ever find the problem? Mine "shutters" in 3rd and OD when giving it some gas to make it up a hill on the hwy, just before it downshifts. Running fine, give it some pedal and it starts to shutter, give it more pedal and it downshifts and runs smooth. It just sounds weird. I swear the RPM's go up at the very point the shutter starts, about 200 or 300 rpm's.

I had the same problem with my truck. It wound up being the torque converter.

That would coincide with the Flash Code I get as well,,,67 It also makes sense to be the Torque converter because of the RPM rise when it shudders. I have never in my life had to replace a faulty torque converter...Guess I will replace it next year and rebuild tranny while I am at it,,,maybe engine by than as well but, I doubt it will need it.

Yea mine doesnt slip and only does it in 4th but doesnt need to down shift before it stops all you gotta do is get a little gas and its fine so odd

Crazy like the rest, shudders at low rpms going into 3rd -4th. Trans shop did not pick up any codes, otherwise runs great. Any ideas?

Ive been calling around ....noone knows anything still runs just fine tho

Try your plugs and coils or wires, I had this same problem and come to find out it was a bad coil.
