Default "Cold air intake"

Does anyone on here have a "cold air intake" on their 351w? Or any engine really. Wondering if it helped out at all. I know the stock air box is pretty restrictive and I know some people say they don't do anything besides waste money and some say they help a lot!! Wana see what you guys have to say about them?!

The stock air filter is not restrictive. If anything I would get a 300 I6 or 460 intake tube (off the box to the rad support) as 302s and 351s don't have it.

Personally I am just running a drop in filter from airaid.

What do I do with this sensor since there's nothing to plug it into?

Default Cold Air

Any air taken from under the hood is not cold. I just bought a 95` F150 4x4 with 351w. The stock air intake is ducted from the top of the rad support which is cold but very restricted when the hood is closed. Take off the last piece of of the air ducting, cut off the flap and about 6" of the air horn, rotate it 90 degrees and put it directly above the bottom rad support pointing out to the front of the truck. Then remove the grill and cut away the bottom 9" or so inches of the rubber air-dam so the air can flow towards your snorkel from the front of the truck. Install K&N air filter in the stock box and you have a real "COLD" air intake for the cost of K&N filter.
