Another 302 to 351w swap question
I have a 94 F150 4x4 with a 302 (MAF) motor. I'm in the process of dropping in a mildly rebuilt 351w out of a 95 Bronco. I got the ECU with the 351w when I bought motor. Both ECU's are for E4OD transmissions. Question is this: The 302 had a knock sensor on the back of the block that the 351w does not have. If I use the 351w ECU would I need to plug in the knock sensor? I'm thinking no because the ECU shouldn't be looking for one. Right? Anyone run across this?

The 351 ecu is non MAF so that would be more of a problem if that's the case. I just did a new motor, 302, in my 95 that was not drilled for a knock sensor. My solution was to attach a couple nuts with high temp fast steel putty to the back of block( where ks would normally go). I threaded the ks into the nuts and its holding fine after almost a year.

It's a MAF to MAF swap so that makes that part easy. The wiring harness on your 94 is designed for the knock sensor. You can swap out the engine bay harness but that still leaves all the wiring from the ecu to the engine bay. You can try the Bronco ecu easy enough and just swap back if it doesn't work right.
