air pump

I'm having the same issue on my '92. I'm wondering if I can grind the head on the alternator bolt thinner. or find a smaller/socket head bolt to replace it, to give the re-routed belt enough room.
Has anyone out there ever successfully ran a narrower poly-v belt without causing TEOTWAWKI?

It's not that hard or expensive to just fix the air pump:
(phone app link)
And if that doesn't work, they're not expensive or rare at junkyards or parts stores.

Air pump bypass belt size
I used a dayco 5060825 in my 95 f150 4.9l. That's keeping the ac. Make sure you plug vac lines to tab/tad solenoid. The belt did not interfere with the bolt on alternator at all. I'm not having any issues what so ever.
