Default 94-96 enignes

I am looking to purchase a 94,95, or 96, Ford F-150 or F-250. Most used trucks in this category have between 125-225K miles.

For longevity, a good engine is key.

QUESTIONS
1) What 94,95,96 engine is the best for longevity.
2) How many miles should one of these engines last?

as far as a long lasting engine in my opinion the 300 inline 6 is a long running engine. but thats just my opinion every car/truck person has their own opinion on different engines i had a 91 f150 with the 300 and a 5 speed it had over 300k on it when i sold it and it didnt use and oil no smoke just ran good. its no hot rod but it pulled trailers very well.

If it has the e4od tranny, get a 95 or newer, they are better. As far as engines go, I like the 96 because it has obII, and I already had a reader and understand obII, although obI isnt that different. But 96 also has maf, which is better in my opinion then speed density.
