I've literally spent $2,000 trying to get my 91 w/5.o to run smoothly. Has gotten so it runs terrible at low rpm. I've replaced sensors and the things they are sensing. New EGR valve, tube, EPS included. Exhaust (stock), pretty much you name it. Took it to the local FORD Dealer and they could not repair of diagnose any further without disassembly, so it came back still sick. Dealer says it has a lean miss and low vacuum at low RPM. So today I'm thinking maybe it doesn't do it so much cold. I always warm it up a bit before driving off. Today I start it, get the parts lubed and drive off. It didn't start running like carp until the temp gauge hit the "N" in NORMAL. Got worse as it got warmer. To make a longer story shorter. I unplugged my EPS and it runs just fine. The check engine light is on but it runs great. Why, I don't know. Anyone? I would give more but I've honestly done so much it would take pages.
