88 6.9 liter, 2000 body and tranny?

Default 88 6.9 liter, 2000 body and tranny?
Hey all.

So my 5.4 died. We have an 88 6.9l at our disposal but it's got a bad tranny. Is there a way to use the 2000 tranny with that engine?

i cant tell you yay or nay, but what you want to find out is the spline count/style between the two. other thing to consider is drive line length
