87 f150 302 dry cranking wont start
This tru k had set for a few years, And this past summer i got it running, but not a good idle. But this truck runs rough until the computer resets itself. I am trying to get it the engine running then put a clutch in it, thats why its been setting a while. Well today i tried to start it again and it cranks but i aint getting gas. I changed the fuel filter, the fuel pump under the driver side door is clicking on for probaly 4 or 5 seconds. But no start. I found what i think is the fuel cutoff button above clutch but still no start. Since my inline fuel pump is running could it be the pump in the tank? Any advice would be appreciated.

Could be quite a few things of course. My first thought was how old is the fuel ?
But a fuel pressure gauge would tell you if your pumps are working up to snuff (30 to 45 psi, preferably above 40) without ripping a bunch of things apart unnecessarily.
A 3 second burst of starting fluid directly into the throttle body (hold the throttle plates wide open while you spray it, then release them) and then crank it will tell you if it would run if it had fuel.

Check for spark if starting fluid did not do anything...

If she won't fire for a few seconds on starting fluid you probably don't have a spark. I think that without a signal from the pickup in the distributor, the computer won't tell the pump to run, other than the initial prime.
Check for spark first maybe.
You can "force" the pumps to run by grounding the fuel pump pin in the self test connector.
