86 302 in a 95 f150 302...fire order?
Sup. the engine blew up in my 95 f150 302 so I went out and bought a replacement it was out of a 86 ltd. I heard these engines have different fireing orders. I plan on swapping the the intake, injectors, maf system. I was wondering if I could just swap a few plug wires around to compensate for the different fire order? And will my computer run it right still? Thanks

Some of those LTDs had H.O. or roller can motors. They use the 351W firing order. If it isn't a roller can motor the it's the old 289-302 firing order.
Saw this problem on a guys car that I helped. Couldn't get it running and swore up and down it was all the 'lec tonic stuff. When I got there the manifold was just coming off so it was easy for me to determine.

92 and after trucks have 351/HO firing order...
so you will have to find out the firing order from that 86. im 99% sure it's the old 289/302 firing order..
so you have 2 options.. repin the firing order of the injectors.. or change the camshaft in the 86 engine to a HO firing order camshaft..
