5.4 Owners! MPG's...what are you getting?
I'm really excited to be picking up my "new to me" 2010 F150 XLT SCrew but I am having a few reservations about MPG as the gas prices continue to climb this week. The truck calls for 14 city and 18 highway but I'm wondering what the real world numbers look like?
I am replacing a 2007 Cobalt SS (2.4 naturally aspirated) that got 19-21mpg so if I could expect a solid 16-17 mpg from the F150, I would be a happy camper! I only drive 26 miles round trip to work 5 days per week. The drive is mostly highway and mostly flat.
Looking forward to seeing some numbers and maybe some fuel saving ideas.

I average 17 with a mix of mostly highway a little city driving. I have seen 21 on a trip out east. I went over 700 miles on a tank. Towing my 8500# trailer, 10-11.5. I have a 2010 F150 lariat screw 5.4L 3.55 longbox. Also just added an Edge CTS tuner.

Nice! 17-18 would be great! I'm a pretty conservative driver so I don't plan on hot rodding or anything. Just back and forth to work.
