Default 5.0 noob

This topic has probably has been beat like a dead horse but i'm not finding any solid answers. I'm looking at a 87 f150 with the factory 5.0. what i'm trying to figure out is is the 5.0s from the cars interchange with the 5.0's from the trucks, and what years models the whole 9 yards. i'd like to give it a little kick in the rear and make it a daily with a attitude.

302 is a 302. Cars have cams that produce more power but not as much torque
