Hey, I am pretty confused about my engine. I don't know too much about the 351 series.
I bought a distributor cap from napa for the 400 engine, but it was too big. Was it my mistake or Napa's?
I looked at the engine. Says engine family 351m/400. It says its 400cid as well. Does that mean that I have a 351 modified to a 400 so I have to buy 351 parts? Aha
Also checked the vin. Has the original engine. Says V8 400-2V.
I don't usually work on engines, so any help is appreciated.

NAPA screwed up. You should be able to tell them you have a 400 motor and get a cap that fits a 400 motor.
