I know this is f150 forum but I have my f250 which will be in need of a new engine soon and I was thinkin I want some more power and was wondering how difficult it would be to swap my 351 for a 460. I've got a 91 f250 xl and I'm not to sure what tranny I have. It's a 4 speed.

Find a donor 460 truck, you will need the frame perches, motor mounts, 460 front springs, providing they are coils, trans with 460 bellhousing, is it a manual trans? 460 y-pipe for exhaust, other than that it will fit, wiring harness is similar to the small block, but you might want to get the harness, 460 ecu, unless you are going to carb, or is it carb already? Which I can also help you with.

Hope to tag along on this thread cause I'm wanting to change weak 302 efi in F150 4X4 to 460 efi. Found one in E350. Both with E40D. Can it be done or need truck doner?

No difference between van and truck, same engines and transmissions.

Thanks but I have decided to go with 351W roller swap. Less work from 302 to 351.
