Default 302 Valve Covers

Valve Covers Question!!! I have a 1994 with the 302 engine. To replace the valve covers, do you have to remove the intake in order to get them off and on? Especially the passenger side. the drivers side looks like you have to remove some stuff to get to it, but the passengers side doesnt look possible without removing the intake. Anyone have experience with this? Am I wrong with my assumption?

I was able to pull the pass side valve cover off of a van without pulling the upper intake, BUT I pulled it out the back of the engine. You might be able to pull it out from the front if you pulled the egr and throttle body off. That's what I'm going to try to accomplish on my '95 when I do the gaskets. However, if you have access to an air compressor and air tools just pull the upper intake, it'll go plenty fast.
