Sounds about right 10* bump is plenty for the motor. I'd also replace the timing chain and gaskets all around.

So what your saying is if I run about 7-10lbs I should set my timing at like 20°?

No you should go for every pound of boost +1* of timing bump. So for 10psi 10* bump

What happens at idle with no boost?

There is always boost with any supercharged/turboed motor. They are constantly forcing air into the motor but at idle it's hardly noticeable.

True but I mean when the turbo isnt spooled does it make a knock or ping being that advanced?

Shouldn't it only would if it was causing detonation which a water methanol injection kit prevents it injects a ultra fine mist of water methanol mix into the combustion chamber preventing detonation. Detonation is combustion before the spark ignites the fuel. But with water methanol kit it greatly reduced detonation or flat out prevents it. Here is a better explanation on it by AEM Power

That's handy and I was backwards with the ignition timing/boost psi for every pound your supposed to retard the timing 1° not advance
