I have a '90 F150 with the 302 engine in it. A while back the engine gave me trouble starting right out of the blue. After I got it started, it ran terrible for an hour or so, then was fine. It ran well for maybe two weeks. Then, it would miss everynow and then and shut off on me. One day, on the way home from work, the truck would just die with no warning. After taking a long time to get it started, it would go another few miles and die again. It has been doing this now for a little while. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check for spark when it dies. Sounds a lot like a possible distributor pickup module on it's way out.
