Default 1989 XLT Lariat V8 351/ engine coolant plug

Im currently flushing the coolant in my f150 and ive located the radiator plug and let that drain out. But im reading the Haynes repair manual and it talks about a Engine coolant plug but it doesn't show a good picture and i cant locate it. Any help would be appreciated, especially pictures. Im replacing my Thermostat and water-pump and i want all the coolant out of the system without it getting everywhere.

Thanks

let it run out of the plug in the radiator, then pull the lower hose from the radiator. That'll get the majority of the coolant out.

Thanks for the info. Thats what i ended up doing. i pulled the thermostat out after and flushed out the rest of the coolant with my hose after that.

Im replacing the waterpump, and of course have a couple broken bolts. Any tips on that would be helpful. Imma try a few things before buying a bolt extracting kit.
