1987 f150 efi conversion
So I recently purchased a 1987 f150 big foot cruiser in need of a lot of love. I found that this truck has a 2 barrel carb instead of a 4 barrel. While doing some research I stumbled upon this newer company called FI TECH which makes an efi set up that is a direct replacement for the carb. Now it's double the cost but has a built in ecu for fuel regulation and adjustments.
Has anyone done this? What's your thoughts?
I was going to put the Holley truck avenger 4 barrel on but stumbled upon this. If anyone has any thoughts please let me know thank you

I don't know if you're aware, but your truck is a little rare. In 87 the only trucks that didn't come with EFI were specially ordered that way. By 88 that option didn't exist; you couldn't order a carbureted version. 87 was the last year that you could special order it that way.
So maybe you might want to consider leaving it as is.

This truck is rare it's the big foot cruiser package. So should I go with a 4 barrel carb instead?

That truck was designed to look cool crawling around the bush. But it was specifically designed for crawling around the bush - by people who knew how to do it.
It would suck in the 1/4 mile, but a 2bbl will out torque a 4bbl at low speeds.
It's part of the package. I wouldn't touch it.

Well, truth be told, I don't know too much about the Bigfoot. Heard a bit about them, read a bit, only ever seen one once, back when it was pretty new. Guy who owned it was an idiot, but it was one really nice truck.
Thing is there are hundreds of thousands of F150's running around. They've been twisted, torqued, and modified to the point that there is absolutely nothing you can do to an F150 that hasn't been done before.
They only ever made a few Bigfoot Cruisers by comparison. If you actually have an original BF modifying it would be just wrong. Better to just get any old F150 if you're going to do that.
If you have the real thing, the only way to go is factory original. Which will take some research, and a lot of hunting around for original parts and that will be a challenge no doubt, but in the end you will have something that very few other people have.
As opposed to just having an F150 in good shape.
That's just the way I'd go with it.
So what carburetor did it come out of the factory with ?
I lost the picture or I'd post it, but I recently had an 87 F250 special ordered with a 351 HO carbureted and it came from the factory with a Holley 650, which is why I'm thinking it's probably the one to go with.

I've done a lot of research and I can't find any parts in good or bad shape ford can't even figure out where to get them. It does have the 351w which I do believe came with the 650 cfm holley.
The guy I bought it from hacked it all up putting wrong doors with crank windows hacked the wire harness up put a 2bbl with manual choke broken vacuum lines etc. so I am going for the full restore but am going to have to peice it together with wrong doors with at least power windows and locks. I can't even find one with **** bag doors or parts.
