Stalls in park

Stalls in park
I have 1987 F150 i6 and since long time I had this problem which I decided to finally fix. Engine (especially when cold) stalls in park. It runs for 10 seconds, rmps go down and it stalls (unless I rev it up or put in gear) . A while ago I had similar problem when it was stalling in idle but it went away after replacing tps. Now it just doesn't want to keep running in park gear and in drive for first few hundred feet it tends to hesitate and tries to stall. After a while driving it is OK. There was no codes.
I would appreciate your input.

Possibly IAC valve, also check your battery voltage.
I had the same problem with a Dakota, had enough battery to start the engine, but not enough voltage to run the IAC. Ran fine but would die at idle.

I just replaced IAC valve and problem went away. It took me 3 minutes and $50. I can't believe I didn't do that earlier. Thank you jancollc!
