Spark, fuel, no start.
Hey folks. Searched a bunch of posts on here but still couldn't narrow it down. I have an 87 with a 4.9. It is getting fuel to the rail, and is getting spark. The fuel pump runs all the time, doesn't shut off after a second. It always runs when the key is on. A lot of posts on here say that points to ä bad computer. They also said that if you unplug the computer and the pump shuts off, it's probably the computer. Only when I unplug the computer it stays running. The only way to get it to shut off is to disconnect the battery. Any ideas?

As the previous poster pointed the relay could be stuck or
a short to power on the wire feeding the pump or
A short to ground on the control side of the relay
Still does not answer the no start. Do you have voltage to the injectors and are they being turned on by the computer.
On a ford the Check engine light should go out as soon as you start cranking the engine, if not, the computer may not be getting a crank signal.
