I'm wanting to replace my oil pan gasket while I still have my trans out. Will I still have to lift the motor up a little or is there any easier way.

You should be able to do it with the engine in still, just a pain to reach around everything. The gasket is multiple pieces so you dont have to wiggle a loop of gasket around everything

My gasket is a single piece. So I might have to.

It's possible yes. But to do it the right way you should take the motor mounts loose. An jack up the engine a few inches. Then the pan should come right off

I just changed my oil pain and gasket wile I had my transmission out . Just had to unbolt the fly wheel and when I unbolted the oil pain I also took bolts out of the oil pick up tube and the oil pan slid right out without lifting motor.
