I6 Sputters & Dies
I have a 1996 F-150 with the Inline 6. The engine runs great and only has 180,000 on it. When I start the truck cold on any tank, I don't have any problems. If the engine is a warm and I try to start off the front tank it will sputter and then die never to fully start. If I switch to the rear tank and start it. I have no problems. If I am driving and switch to the front, it will sputter for a split second and then be fine but will not do it if I switch from front to back. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know what I need to do?

I have an 87 4.9 .It ran on the rear tank but would not hit a lick on the front tank .So I replaced the fuel pump relays and it fired rite up.They are located in a wireing harness at the front left firewall. There are 2 of them.one for each tank. They are pretty cheep so go ahead and replace both of them. You can get them from any parts house,Good luck.
