Default Help! Pressure In Coolant System

I Have a 94 4.9 and in the morning before I started the truck I took of the rad cap to depressurize the system and then put the cap back on, start the truck let it run for a min, open the cap and its full of pressure with cold engine. I just got my head checked and a new head gasket and I'm wondering if my block is cracked. Oh yeah I have white smoke in tail pipe in the morning but goes away and I'm not over heating. Any input would be much appreciated.

Techrep, thanks for the reply. Should it have that much pressure(13psi) in rad on cold start/engine?

Is you're thermostat stuck open or backwards?
