Does a 92 have a mass air flow sensor? If does were?

My 1992 F-150 with the 4.9L-6 has a Map sensor. As I understand it, that is an earlier version of the MAS sensor and works entirely differently. Mine was on the firewall on the left side, as you face it from the front, and was easy to change. I'm in PM mode myself and intend to change everything like that under the hood that hasn't already been changed. I'm trying to maximize reliability. Sure is cheaper than a new one!
If you have a code reader, it "may" tell you if you have a map sensor fault. Mine didn't but replacing it made some improvements just the same.
