Default Building a 4.9 for E85 and/or woodgas

I bought my '95 F-150 with plans of adding a gasifier to the bed so I can run it on wood. That's my world... renewable energy. I run my small company off the grid and drive my primary vehicle ('02 F250 7.3 diesel) on cooking oil. It turns out that to optimize running on woodgas (low btu gaseous fuel), you raise the compression and advance the timing. Hmm... same for getting the most out of E85.

So, suggestions to bumping the compression? I've heard of using pistons out of a 352 or a 400 V-8.

Cam profiles for running on E85?

I'll need to go with bigger injectors. Also thinking about using a Megasquirt to control the fuel injection. Other ideas?

Find an older 4.9 that is carbed, way easier and cheaper.
