I have a 2 wheel drive 93 F150 that runs great but I could really use a 4x4. I found 96 4x4 f150 on craigslist that appears to be in great shape except for a blown 5.0 V8 engine, they only want 500 bucks for it. I'm looking for a manual but this automatic could work.

Will it fit into the transmission the same? Will I have to swap out more than just motor mounts? Is it really hard? And finally, does anyone know of a good resource to find otherwise functional trucks with blown engines? Craigslist is spotty.

Any wisdom is greatly appreciated.
