Default 95 straight 6, mystery plug & rough idle...help?

I used ot be a member a while back, but, can't remember my PW so, new account. I am helping my brother rebuild his 95 f150 with the inline 6 engine. We come from a long Jeep background and love the inline 6's... we replaced teh entire exhaust and had a leak at the header, had the gaskets redone at a shop (no time and it was TOOO cold) and they did a valvecover gasket while they were in there for another hour labor. NOW, no exhaust leak (btw, 3 flowmaster is almost toomuch exhuast for this engine lol) but now it has a crappy idle that shakes the truck like its missing a cylinder randomly, and we have a mystery plug, thats quite clean, indicating to me it was until recently plugged in....
Its on the driverside, above the oil filter, and it traces back to 2 other wires with plugs, that go to a few modules on the valvecover, MAP or something Im guessing?

Any help would be appreciated....
its about to get a 4" lift and 33's and we'd like ot get this corrected BEFORE we add more potential issues...
thanks again
Matt

Looks like a connector for the TAB, TAD, or evap purge.

Look at the vacuum diagram, you should be able to track them down. Then check to make sure the asshats that did your valve cover gasket didn't break any vacuum lines because that would mess with the idle.

You sure that's not an injector plug?

nope, not an injector plug... the stumbling was due largely in part to a bad intake gasket the garage had installed, somehow it had a small leak between the gasket and intake. Now that's fixed under warranty, it seems like it the TPS might have gone bad around the same time...*sigh* never ends
