95 300 IL6 sluggish/very slow acceleration
My 1995 F150 w/ the 300 IL6 is having some serious performance issues. It's a 5 speed single cab 4x4 w/ 170k miles. New plugs, wires, distributor, cap and rotor, computer, ICM, Ign coil. Truck starts and idles fine. The problem is when I get going it is jerky with slow acceleration and when I finally get to 4th gear I can get to 45mph and have little to no acceleration or power after that and speed will gradually fall off making me downshift. Every now and then if I flutter the gas it will jerk a little with acceleration. I ran for codes and no codes came up. Just looking for a few ideas as to what it could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
