92 f150 5 speed swap
i have a 92 f150 single cab short bed 300 6 e40d and would like to do a 5 speed swap and i found a donor truck that is a 92 f150 single cab flareside 300 5 speed ... is there any difference between the two and will everything swap being they are the same year, body and engine?

Grab the starter, computer, and the wire harness coming from the trans. You might want to pull the entire floor plate that goes around the shifter. The crossmember and driveshaft. The column and clutch quadrant... get the whole mount. The speedo cluster, or the blank for the shift position indicator. The backing plate, flywheel, pressure plate, and master cyl. Buy a new clutch disk, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing.
I did the opposite a few years back, I pulled a 5 speed to put an auto into my mudder after burning out the clutch getting out of a swamp. Now I'm thinking about swapping out the E4OD in my 92 for the 5 speed. The 92 is strictly a street truck, I didn't care for stick in the mudder.
