I have 4.9l i6 with engine trouble. Under load, in and out of gear, the engine gets extremely sluggish almost like its starved of fuel. I am assuming it is electrical, it does it 80 percent of the time. If you hammer the throttle it generally will pick up but not without some bucking. The only code i have seen obd 1, "122". The fuel pump and filter have been changed within 2 years, fuel pressure 55 psi. Related to the code "122" the throttle pos sens has been replaced. Regular maintenance is done. Idle air control was also replaced 3 years ago. As well as cap and rotor 6 months ago. Spark plugs are all gapped correctly and in good cond. Any assistance you are willing to provide would be greatly appreciated!!!

95'... The engine has about 70k but the truck has 260k. I have run a ton of seafoam through it with no reprieve.

Checked most of the leads already, no broken or unplugged wires that I can find.

It has still been throwing codes but I have not checked them again. This has been an ongoing problem and the same codes have been there.

Fuel filters should be changed at least annually if not semiannually. Take off the IAC and give it a visual inspection to see if it needs cleaning or replacing.

Not sure if this applies in the same way but I would think it does

If its an electrical issue with the ignition system then this should help narrow it down. How long has it been like this?

In a perfect world all maintenance would be done exactly the correct way at exactly the correct time. It has been nearly 2 months. Thank you for the website I will look into it.
