Can they take the heat? I know the fxr and evox can, but what about the factory projector?

I would say NO, but Im no Retrofitter so...

Since it's an open projector the heat isn't as enclosed and gets dissipated around the housing... It can take the heat. However, i've seen some opened up that had burn marks on the bowl.

EvoX-R's can definitely take the heat of 55 watt and you get much better light output over stock.
