Default Will HIDs melt my Halo Headlights??

I want to put HIDs in my halo projector headlights, but there is a sticker on the lights that says no HID bulb. Does anyone have any experience with HID's in aftermarket headlights? Would it be ok if I put them in"? Here is a pic of the lights I have on my truck.

Thanks

The No HID is not about melting the housing, it is about the HID conversions not having the proper light pattern and blinding oncoming traffic.

or you can heat them in the oven... pull them apart. Then there is a layer of film over the projector that needs to be removed... seal it back up, and should work beautifully... search on google about putting HID's in Projectors... i found many sites about it

I put a HID kit in my Lariat..65.00 on e-bay made by sylvania...no problems super bright with a blue tint.
BUT..I put the blue HID bulbs in the fog lights....melted them.
I found a real cool set of fog lights on e-bay that have a small blue bulb that lights up with the running lights..it looks light a 194 bulb..then when you actually turn on the fog lights it has a bright white light in a GLASS housing. And the nice part..the housing is a little bit smaller so I took a dremel and cut the stock plastic lens and put the new lights IN the stock light retaining the mount and adjustment..looks and works great.

HID may melt your housing if install incorrectly. Now for best results your should retrofit another projector to your housing. most likely from an s2000, tsx, infinity FX, etc. this would give you a better cut-off line and you would be using your HID kit to its full potential. PM if you need some advice.

i'm getting ready to install hid's as soon as a set of jon's are shipped come tuesday, i'll follow this thread closely. I shouldn't worry about melting the housing.

I was about to pull the trigger on the same exact set as the first post, except in chrome and install one of Jon To's bi-xenon hid kits. Now, after seeing this post, I'm having second thoughts about the projectors. So what exactly needs to be done to the projector for the HID's to work correctly?
