Default Silverstar ZXE headlight bulbs

Has anyone tried these? 2011 F150 FX4. There is a $15 rebate on them at Advance, gets the price down to $45. Looking for brighter white.

I've been running them for over a year. Noticeable improvement over stock. Good color and ample output. Still a halogen bulb, so it cant compete with LED or HID.

ZXE: 'Whiter', but no brighter + Shorter lifespan + More expensive = Waste of money

Same Lumens, same MSCP, across the board.

Data - direct from the manufacturer:

https://www.sylvania.com/en-us/appli...partnumber=H13

For a truly tangible, substantive (massive) increase in high-quality, safe, glare-free output, it will not come cheaply. And NO drop-in PnP HID or LED H13 swap need apply - ALL of those are 110% garbage, regardless of the junk-science BS marketing designed to dazzle the feeble-minded.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to give them a try only because with the rebate same price as regular silverstar. From the mfct page..looks like same output. I May look into HID at some point. Will see how they look tonight

Only halogen I recommend is Philips Crystal Vision Ultra. About $30 on ebay without rebate hassle. I have these bulbs on all my vehicles.

^ What he said. I installed these about a month ago for the same reasons you have. I'm happy so far.

I like them, noticeable brighter, but I think I will want more....HIDs seen to be the best, but I need to research on exactly how hard it is to do

I'd skip those and go straight hid if you can.

They are pretty straight forward install...obviously a lil more involved than just swapping out a bulb.

Edit: not sure if you have projectors or not but if you don't then sticking with a halogen bulb would be best for now.
