Has anyone attempted this? I know alittle modification of the 9006 tabs would be required. Supposedly 9006's are identical to the 9005's other than wattage and the bulb tip. Im not interested in 9005's because 65w may be too hot for fogs but the 55w 9006's seem like a good compromise between 9145's and 9005's. More lumens without burning anything, and a coated tip to not **** off oncoming drivers.

Just wanted to see if any other 2009-14 owners have done this or if Im going to have to be the guinea pig.

There have been folks who have reported running 9005's with no problems and those are hotter and have 10 more watts than a 9006.

The 9006 base is to big to fit in the fog light hole. This is a known issue. Buy a quality 9145 and be done.
