Lil setup up in my K-Dub. It's not as bright as it seems but ya, with my 5% tint, I can't see out my windows so I only have them on when parked or not fully dark. Oh, sorry for sideways pic.

++++++++++++++++Update+++++++++++++++++

The great thing about this kit is the ability to move things around with the add on kit-

I moved the two strips that flanked the driver and passenger seats which were kinda a waste- ill check it out tonight to see the effect of the middle pic-.

Anyone ever recall or confirm which fuse you tapped into for Opt7 power? I'm thinking under the console and tap into the wires others have tapped into for the cupholder lights? or did you go to the fuse box?

And any confirmation for which wire to tap into for door open so that they lights turn white for entry/exit?

Iv'e tapped the fuse box for all Opt7 lights and it works well. the lights stay on untill i open the door, like the radio.

i have not figured out where the door open fuse or wire is.

Green connector, p.s. footwell below the fusebox. I forget the wire color I tapped, but its in that green connector. I wanna say orange, or orange with a yellow stripe. But, Im Not Positive!

Search footwell lighting, should have positive results....

Thanks to all that have gone before me, there is a lot of good information on where and how others have mounted these lights. I finally got my Opt7 lights installed - really like them. There were a few little things along the way I had not found specific details on in these threads. I'll put my install details here for others - hoping it might help.

To start - I used the Opt7 Aura kit and the 4 light add on kit - bought them off of Amazon. My install is in a 2014 Screw.

- Power - tapped into fuse number 30 in the passenger footwell. This is the fuse for the front parking lights. Figured that would best meet when I wanted the lights on. I used the add a fuse that came in the kit. Don't be fooled there are two that look like they may work, one is too thick in the middle, use the other one - it will fit very nicely.

- Door open switch - the Opt7 can turn the lights to white when you open the door if you connect the secondary wire. I tapped into the same wire others mention here - near the fuse box there is a green connector - I used a scotchlok on the wire in pin 4. The color varies by year model - greyish purple on the 2014.

- Connected both grounds to the screw on the frame down near the same fuse box.

- Ran both wires under the top edge of the carpet on the passenger side over to the area in front of the center console. That is where I placed the control module as well. It has lots of room in it and is open to both sides of the interior for easy wire routing.

- Front floor well lights - I placed large strips of LED's from the main kit under the front edge of the seat on a metal strip that is easy to find, shining toward the front. I then placed one of the small strips from the Add on kit under the bottom lip of the dash right on top of the OBDII connector on the driver side and just under the lip of glove box on the passenger side. Look closely and you'll find both of these areas where you can make the lights shine down and into the truck - you can't see the LED's when sitting in the truck.

- For the back floor board I mounted the light strips on the back of the front seats as others have. I couldn't find a good place under the seat - so I mounted them to the plastic strip on the back of the seat - it shines down but lights most of the floor well and the flap they are under keeps the lights from shining up.

Very pleased. Love the look. Pics attached here of some of the install and then pics of the lights on bright and on dim. I have black carpet, so I have a white towel laying in half of the back floor board so you can see the difference of how much brighter they would be with a lighter color carpet. Helps see the difference.

I think so - I've only driven the truck once after dark since completing the install, but I really like it. I keep the lights on a dim setting - just like them for accent when driving - not really using them for finding things in the floor. But when I open the door or am loading and unloading stuff, I think the full bright white light that comes on is worth it then, it really adds a lot of nice extra light.

Wiring that control wire is simple. Depends on where you got your main power, but if you got it at the fuse box - then you've already been in that area - just run the second wire to the fuse box area - connect the wire to the wire on pin 4 of the green connector (outlined in pretty good detail in a couple of threads here) and to the ground that is on the door frame. Probably won't take you more than 10 to 15 minutes tops.

Looks like you've done a lot of install and working with the LED's - you'll have it done in no time.
