I got you. Using a single 15amp fuse for my setup, probably overkill but it's what I had.Name: 20150308_221925_zpsskmc8aan.jpg

Pin switch that I used for my ground. My toolbox is metal and bolted to the bed, so it grounds through the truck.Name: 20141122_142236_zpsmmlavzqy.jpg

Why not buy a ten dollar motion sensor install it on the inside of box hood and when you open it instant on and instant off when closing.

As a means of control, I found a circuit on the truck that is only 'hot' when the ignition is on, I use that to power all my switches, then go out to the relay. That means anything I have added will go dark when the truck goes off, lessens the chances of a dead battery. In that case, using a relay lets me tap into an existing circuit for control purposes without fear of overloading that circuit.

In this guy's case, I agreed with you in my previous post, there's no reason for a relay unless he wants another means to control the lights.
I believe so

I like those pin switches shown above. You could also do a mercury or gravity switch similar to what you find in some engine bays.

Default Wireless LED Toolbox Lights.

Notice the on/off switch. I'm sure you could find motion activated lights but I prefer the good ol on/off.
Something like this? Cost me $25 and some really nice 3M adhesive.

Why not a simple waterproof proximity sensor? remove the moving parts and the metal from the equation?

Does anyone know a way to make the back LED lights come on when the rear cab light is on ? I plan to put a back cover on & would like to be able to have the bed lights come on on there own without having to open the gate or the bed cover...Or is there a way to get some led lights installed along the rail that engage when the rear cab light is on?

Reposting hoping someone with a 2017 F150 has done the Anzo switchbacks. I can't get the planks to light up amber with the turn signals.. I've tried all the wires on the turn signal. I gotta be doing something wrong, my wires are different colors than the Anzo video and different than my 2015 which I wired up without issue.

any guesses?
