For those wondering about DDM Tuning/Apexcone HID's...
I know this is not on an F150, but you get the idea.
I purchased the 55w slim-line digital kit in 5000k temp. What follows is the journey thru my adventure...
Start Time: 8:27pm
This is what the output of my stock lights was. Pretty chitty, no?
Removed grille and front bumper.
Removed headlights.
Removed stock headlight bulbs and installed DDM kit. I chose the underside of the headlight housing as my mounting point for the ballasts.
Reinstalled front bumper and test drove.
End time: 9:44pm
End result is that the digital ballasts do not fire and reach operating temp as quickly as I thought they would but it is noticably faster than the non-digital kit I had before. The on-road output is AWESOME and reminds me of driving my buddies 2g Acura TL. In all... it was the most worthwhile $60 investment I have made in a long time.
I know a great vendor for these that offers them at the cheapest prices I have found. PM me for details. (Its not me, I promise.)

I thought DDM Tuning said, a 55w 8000k bulb will look similar to a 35w 6000k bulb, because it'll wash out some of the blue tint? I'm just curious because you got the 55w 5000k bulb, and it doesn't look like it washed out any coloring what so ever.
