Maybe take the headlight out and disconnect it from the truck and see if you can get the high beams to work with a 9v battery. Listen and see if you can hear the cutoff shield go up and down. Atleast then you will know if it's the projector or the wiring harness/truck. This makes sense in my head but I'm not sure if it actually will tell you anything....hahaha.

the lights going off has to be a harness issue. If the shield just wasn't operating then you'd consider the projector but nothing within the projector/headlight would actually turn the bulbs off

Any of yall have a used set if ballast you wanna sell? Preferably 55w. They would be for my Hella 500s that I put hids in. The ballasts and bulbs I have for them now really suck. So, I picked up some H3C bulbs and ignitors off the closeouts on TRS, I just need morimoto ballast now.

Have a new motocontrol box coming. One thing is for sure, for things they have control over, TRS certainly handles their business. This guy didn't even ask any questions besides "what's the email address that the order was placed under" and "is this address the one you want it sent to".

Great... I got rid of my oem hid's because of repeated harness issues and started doing a retrofit because I haven't heard about issues with those harnesses... ugh!

Yeah it's somewhat inconvenient, but I sure hope this is the last of my issues. The harnesses are made by the same people with the same or maybe slightly different components, so hopefully you'll have better luck.

I retro'd our camry over 4 years ago and haven't had a single issue with any portion of it (knock on wood).

What's the best way to make clean circular cuts to fit the projector and shroud?

I used a sanding drum on a dremel. Lots of white dust, but gets it perfect.
