I think adding your turn signals into the mix makes it more complicated.

Simplest solution I can see.

Hope the dealership will disable the DRL feature of your HIDs
Use the MORIMOTO XCHANGE SWITCHBACK DRIVERS to get DRL function in you Halos.
Manually turn on your running lights so your White turn signals are on.

I think making the running lights/turn signals is going to make it more complicated.

What year is your truck muirj3?

I found this little tidbit using some google-foo.... Cuz I should actually be working lol

"Not sure about the 09-12 models but, the 13-14s are dealer switchable to the ambers with the ford ids. Had my non hid equiped 13 switched over by the dealer, took about 5mins and no charge for me woo-hoo. It is in the lighting control module under drl and says amber or halogen, simple as that."

2012. Just swung by the dealership and the way the programming is apparently only the 13-13 HID equipped have this option. The service manager built HID's as well and can't disable them on his f150 either. If it was an explorer, apparently they have three options for the running light. Could change at any time but apparently it's not possible yet on a 2012.

I just bought some raptor/Harley lights because I wanted the black look so I have an extra set of OEM laying around. I may just do this. The code still works.

Well, got the lights wired up and tested.

Unfortunately, I seem to have a bad ballast

I fired everything up, and my driver side light started flickering, then cut off. Turned the lights on and off and it would fire back up, flicker, then off again. So, to narrow the possible culprit, I moved the ballast to the passenger side. The problem followed. Swapped it back and forth a couple times just to be sure, and the problem definitely follows the ballast.

Pretty aggravated bc I was hoping to have this up and running before Friday. I'll be contacting TRS first thing in the AM to see if they can overnight one to me. I'll probably go ahead and try to get the aim close tomorrow night. I can at least get the rotation right, then get the vertical dialed in later (tested the vertical adjustment on the lights to make sure they still worked).

Which code did you use? I just tried the F150GB25 and got an *INVALID* kickback.

All F150's with PCM modules from Feb 9th 2010 and later have the ability to turn on and off the DRL function except for HID equipped vehicles.

The problem is the dealer not updating their equipment's software. Tell them to update their programmers or go find another dealer.

This is precisely why you bench-test and burn-in before in-vehicle installation.

To save time, do it as soon as the stuff hits yer doorstep, concurrently while you are working on housing opening, prep, paint, etc.

Yeah that would have been a good idea for sure.
