It is posted on the website that the rock light have been slow going. We have finally caught up on all orders for rock lights and you should have your next week as I mentioned to you on pirate.

First off, you never offered a refund. You kept telling her the tracking info would be sent to her, and it never was. She called once and emailed a few times, and was promised a tracking number several times. You told her they would be delivered on the 23rd.

After a week of waiting for a tracking number, she filed a claim with PayPal to try and find out if she was going to get the lights. Then mysteriously a tracking number was provided to PayPal.

You are not being truthful when you say you offered a refund. You wouldn't offer any information about the order. She got nervous and asked PayPal to look into the order.

I wanted everyone on this forum to know the "service" you offered my wife. She wasn't "irate" she was just trying to make sure a Xmas gift arrived on time.

Your post is exactly the same as the one you posted on the Jeep forum. Seems like a trend.

Daniel, I actually appreciate you posting here. But, instead of lying to my wife about tracking, and avoiding her emailed questions, you should have simply just given her the honest facts of the logistics issues. It would have been a non-issue.

And posting all over the forum about a refund means nothing when the customer knows nothing about it. Replying to her emails and offering a refund would have avoided all this negative feedback.

Your tracking Information was attached to the order on the website and the email was sent. I don't know why you did not get it. I apologize I forgot to call back. A refund was offered when we responded to the paypal issue. The minute you disputed with paypal we offered a refund. I will gladly post a screenshot with the dates. If you go look at the messages you will see that we responded to your paypal issue with this.

I will gladly post up all emails we sent with the time stamps they were sent.. I dont know why they have not been making it to you....

Please go read the paypal response and you will see we offered a refund. It has been sitting waiting for your response for a week now. We have had 2 issue this year. One was the rope. We don't need to go into detail on that and the customer was taken care of very well. A rope that never should have been sent was mistaken sent and the person responsible was dealt with accordingly. the only treand you see is us fixing a mistake we made. The only mistake here is communication and we admit that it was not the best thus why we allow for you to get a free product if you would like that.

Lets get clear. No one lied to your wife. I can give you the old tracking number we pulled because it still shows that the package is in singapore and that is not helpful. No one lied and communication was not the best. We have admited our mistake. We offered to make it right and are working to improve. What more do you want. No one lied no one cheated you. I don't understand what you want. If there is something more you need lets deal with this one on one so that I can understand as a public setting is not the place.

Mistake was made
We offered to make it right
We apologized.
What more do you want?

We don't see the response you gave to PayPal. So if you communicated a refund to them, we never saw it. Up to this point, we never heard back from you about the order. You spoke to PayPal and never to my wife, after that first call. So how are we supposed to know that a refund was offered?

To respond to your PM, I never said "china junk", I actually said your lights were rugged and heavy. They seem pretty decent to tell the truth.

My only complaint is the lack of communication, and it seemed like you knew there was a delivery mix up, and you seemed to avoid it.

I appreciate you stepping up and taking care of the order. I just don't agree with your side of the story. I'm done now...

bodam,

We have all had a bad experience with a company or each other in a transaction. Trust me, I took a lot of scrutiny over a recent classifieds ad.

Is there a way to move past this and see what Daniel can offer and come through with? I am more excited to purchase a product from Olympus based on the 20k replies/purchases on the Pirate4x4 forum. It is the reason I started a thread on here, to see what everyone thought and to give them a chance just like I will in the future.

It sucks to feel screwed over and be screwed over but when a company offers to make everything right, I'll make sure to listen. Give Daniel a call or something beyond this forum because words are easily typed and actually speaking to someone can make things better.

I too attempted to order a set of the square off road lights. After trying to place an order 4 times over two days, ( website times out after clicking purchase on the cart page after I put in cc info) and even attempting to call and get either a busy tone or a fax sound I have up and am actively searching for somewhere else to spend my $$$-no worries tho seems like they def want to make things right with u know, that alone is hard to come by now a days!

This is most likely a cause of the amount of traffic and sales we have had since black Friday. We had to upgrade the site a lot!

As far as the order. Once Paypal Gets involved we deal through them and let them handle it. Every time we deal outside of paypal when a dispute occurs we get screwed.

A perfect example is a customer ordered a rope from us. USPS shows they got it but they say they don't. They never disputed on paypal and we refunded them direct. Later we get notification that they are disputing the credit card charge processed through paypal... we lost even though we showed proof of refund... in the end We paid the customer $185 refunded the $185 and they got a free rope... we were screwed... If a dispute comes through we let paypal handle 100%... takes a lot longer but nobody get screwed.
