Does anyone know which of the two are better? I need some more light on the road and I have been reading about these bulbs. Also, some people tell me the life of the bulbs is short like 6 months to a year. If anyone has some info please help me out. Thanks

silverstar ultras last a little bit longer, and they are quite bright. I havent used just the silverstars in awhile, but theyre pretty bright too.

about how long did they last for you?

had them in my truck for about 8 months and are now in my brothers and are still going. Hes had them now for 6 to 8 months or so. thats the Ultras.

I have the Silverstar's (non ultra), had 'em for about 8 months. Love 'em, huge difference.

I had a set of 9007 Silverstar's in my 05' Ram for 2-1/2 years, and then switch them to my dads work car, (still runnin them about 3-1/2 years total). Maybe the 9007 bulbs last longer than the 9008 bulbs do?

man i have only 20/40 vision corrected... with regular headlights it is a big problem at night... with silverstar I can see alot better and seems to be a whiter light. They seem to really iluminate the white lines on the side of the road very nice. I have used soime of the apc plasma super whites and in my opinion they did not do as nice as the silverstar's.
