Default Running board LED's

I've tried to search for this topic with no success. Apparently I'm not entering the proper search terms. A while back I read a thread referencing a company that makes a "kit" to add led lighting above the factory boards. I believe it sold for ~$80. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

I can sell you these:

http://www.streetglow.com/Catalog/Heavy-Duty-LED-Strips

I used to work at StreetGlow back in the day so they make some good stuff. You'd have to run the wires yourself, it's not a "kit" but you could mount these heavy duty strips under your truck near the bottom of the door so it shines on the running boards OR you can install these UNDER the running boards to illuminate the ground (which would be cool... I used to do this with neon undercar kits... again back in the day)

If it peeks your interest let me know and I can price it out for you. We don't have these on our site right now

Do it yourself and save tons of money! I bought 5050 LED strips from Amazon (16.4 feet for around $13) and cut the length I wanted.

Thanks!! That's the kind of product I was hoping to find. I'm assuming it's a pretty simple glue them up and wire them up to a separate switch or light circuit? Thanks again.

I found these the other day:

Haven't tried them though, but I like how they look!

Yep. The strips have the sticky tape on the back, but I also ran a bead of silicone behind them and over them. I tapped them into my dome light circuit so they'll come on when I open the doors.

I just ordered the Recon Amber big rig ice running board lights. I also have a 2016 Lariat 4x4. Had to add a a strip of sheet metal about an inch wide to the body welds under the doors to attach the led strip to make them visible. Will post pics when project is completed

Do you by chance remember the wire color for the dome light circut and location?
Thank you. Trying add puddle lights myself.
