Here's a little preview of what I have been working on since the conception of these round Rigid lights in early Sept-Oct. These are the R+ round Par36 lights designed for the aviation industry. There are 3 other models to choose from as well, ranging in different lumen and lux ratings. http://www.rigidindustries.com/Aviat...hting-s/88.htm

Each light puts out 3400 lumens at 40W which is equivalent to a 35W hid headlight. I have developed the brackets for these lights to plug and play with our trucks plastic bracketry and adjuster. Here are a few shots of the bracket and light, ill be installing these into my truck for further testing before I release any into the market. Brackets are fabricated from T-304 stainless for weather resistance which can be painted as well.

Are these going to have a true fog light pattern?

I think the RS model is more of a wide beamed light that could mimic a fogs output. I chose the R+ because of the distance of throw and the integrity (or lux rating) at that distance. On Rigids website you can see the technical specs on the beam patterns each model offers.

Lol I'm not sure how waterproof the xb LEDs are but I don't think they would hold up without some sort of protective lense over top. Ill contact trs to see what their thoughts are on this.

Thanks for the info...I have been looking around Rigid's site and I haven't found any true fog lights. I drive through some heavy snowfall when I'm heading out to find some good skiing. I had a set of PIAA 520i fog lights on my last truck but they put up too much vertical light. They would light up the falling snow more than the stock headlights, so I want to stay with a true fog light pattern...wide and low.

The stock fog lights on my 2013 FX4 are worthless...they don't do anything more than light up 2 feet in front of the truck and annoy oncoming traffic.

...I'll still consider adding these as an extra set of driving lights.

It looks like a nice set up, I looked at those before for replacing my fog lights but I wasn't sure how they were and how they would mount up. I'm interested in seeing the pics and if you are going to have the brackets for sale I would be interested as well.
