I wish there was a way to track it back to my post! Then we could chat about some discounts on future mods

Thanks McDavis, I am sold now. I was trying to decide if I wanted to Get the yellow filmed XB's or the Rigid DOT and an Amber cover. I really didn't care for the Rectangular Ouput of the XDs and no one had a pic of the Rigid output. I like the rigid out put much better, and I love the cut off.

Good job with the mount by the way. I might have to do it this way instead of buying an offbrand mounting kit for Fords, or Rigging the F250 mounts to work(if possible).

I searched high and low for a F150 mounting kit and was unable to really locate anything worthwhile for what I wanted. Remember that I clocked my lights outward about 10-15 degrees, so they are not dead on straight out.

The XBs look good but there are a few things about them that I don't love as much as the Rigids. The XBs throw this odd crescent shaped light on the foreground directly in front of the truck. You wouldn't be able to see it from the driver's seat, but I feel like it's wasted light. Secondly, the XBs sit back in the bucket a ways, like the stock fog housings. You can see that there is a strong beam wasted on the inside of the bucket/bumper. The way I have the Duallys mounted puts them almost flush with the bumper so that the bumper does not obstruct any output. Minor things that most people probably won't notice, but they poke at my OCD.

I saw that the XBs sit further back like OEM but for half the price of the Rigids I gave them a shot. It really doesn't block that much light, there is a good wide beam. I haven't noticed the cresant light you're talking about. I definitely like the look better than having my Rigids in there though.

On Our Shop Truck we used a set of WHITE Dually's with Amber Covers and it just seems to darken the light. If you need AMBER lights, get a dedicated set just for FOG..

It does cut the output slightly but it still works great and you have 2 lights in one as it takes seconds for covers to come off. Been running them like that for a year and with covers on they would throw a great amount of yellow!

I actually prefer the yellow/amber for its ability to cut rain and fog with less back reflection. And yes if on the beach or deer trail at might with no rain the covers will be off.

They did great but with the DOT ones you may find that you may not need to worry about bounce back light as the cutoff on them is good and below the hood line.

CONFIRMED...no bounce back.

If aimed properly they don't even light up street signs. The cutoff is pretty severe. I had a bit of fog this morning on the way in to the office and the output was nice.
