I have 5000k 35w Bi-xenon HID's from Jon_To here on the forum, i installed them and everything.. but the problem is, they aren't very wide and they are really bright like right in the middle, i tried adjusting them and everything but i couldn't figure it out. all the other ones i see are very wide. also, there is like a headlight sized spot of light above the line where the hid's stop, whats up with that? did i do something wrong? thanks.

are they PNP hids or did you get projectors? projectors make the most out of HIDs not to mention its a lot safer

I didn't get projectors... Should have but I didn't read enough about the HID's before I bought the headlights.

Check to make sure your bulbs are straight and flush with the housing. Any change in the insertion angle of the bulb can thow off the beam significantly.

Also, post a pic of the light output and we can better help with if you're experiencing normal PnP output.

they only go like 5 ft past the side of the truck on each side. And I know I don't have them adjusted right yet so they are aimed at the ground. Do you see the spots above the line where the normal beam stops? whats up with that?

so its just gonna be like that? if i get projectors would it be like all the other ones where the beam goes way out on both sides?

If you get projectors you entire light output will be infinitely better. The spread will be straight and wider. Everything about projectors is worth the money spent.

HIDs in a halogen based headlight throws the light and scatters it. It isn't an affective way to get light output and actually is unsafe to oncoming traffic regardless how much people try to argue it. I'm not trying to get into it with anyone but it's the truth. I've build projector setups and nothing compares. There's a reason high end cars have been running them for years.
