Raptor Style LED Grill Lights Blowing Fuse
So I got the raptor style led grill lights for my 2011 f150 from stage3motorsports. Installed them per the instructions, spliced into the side parking light in the headlight assembly. They worked for about a minute then blew the fuse to my parking lights! I double checked all the wiring/connections and everything was tight and well connected, no exposed wiring or loose connections. I replaced the 15 amp blue fuse and turned the parking lights on again, fuse blew immediately.
Anybody know why the fuse would be blowing and more importantly, how to fix it to keep it from happening?!? Thanks!

Are you absolutely certain you have everything crimped and connected securely? All the grounding wires are connected? If so, then perhaps you have a bad ground wires. If that's the case I would contact the person you bought them from and ask them for further direction.

Yeah, I just opened everything back up and went over all the wiring again. Everything looks good and all connections are secure. All the lights worked fine for a few minutes that first time, but now it's blowing that parking light fuse every time immediately when I turn the switch. Not sure what to do at this point... Not sure if installing load resistors in the lines would make any difference, I know typically those are used for hyperflash issues when you change the actual turn/parking bulbs to leds, but my bulbs are still regular. I contacted stage 3, but haven't heard back.

Hmmm... well I'm not sure. I wired mine up to the running lights (not the daytime ones but the actual night time lights) and the only issue with mine is a buzzing sound when the headlights come on at night. It sounds like you might have a bad ground somewhere though and I doubt the resistors would do much good. Yours did have one neg and one pos for each light in the grille totaling three of each, right?

I spliced it into the ground wire going to that signal bulb like the instructions said... Guess I could put it to an actual ground bolt and see what it does?!

Yeah, that's your issue man. The only thing you should have spliced into the signal bulb wire is the positive to the positive, and the positive wire only, so you'll have to strip it back some to access JUST the positive wire. Remove the negative, put a ring connector on it and run it a little further up to the ground post on the truck body. I'm not sure where it's at on the 14s, but on the 16s it's on the passenger side just north of the headlight.

Let me know man! Hope it works for ya! If that doesn't do it, I'll ask my buddy. He works with electrical stuff, he may can figure it out.
