Curved LED Light Bar Roof Install/Wiring Questions
So let me ask you guys... for those who have LED light bars Curved (or even non-curved) above your windshields... did you drill a hole to run the wires or did you run them along the window and through the hood area...
I plan to install one but honestly DON'T want to drill a hole for the wire harness at the top of my truck. Two reasons
1) Possible leakage, although with enough silicon that can stop it... there is always that possibility
2) There's a damn hole in the roof, and if i resell the truck years later, I want to keep my light bar
I imagine you still have to drill holes (3 or 4) to mount the screws to the brackets right... but that's hidden when door closes so I could deal with that once I resell the truck years later.
For those who ran the wires along the window, down and to the hood... can you post photos? I saw a video online, it didn't look TOO bad, they had part of the wire popping up away from the window (I guess a few small dabs of silicon would help keep it in place).
Does it look tacky?
