Sorry to butt in, but I am installing a set of halo projectors in a clients 06 f-150, but the problem I am having is the factory uses a 2 bulb system and the aftermarket ones are a 4 bulb(one for high one for low). now that is fine and all but when he is driving at night on highbeam and switches back to low the HID bulbs have to warm up again and he is blind for a few seconds. Is there a way to jumper wires in the signal light stalk to make all 4 come on at the same time. I know in my 2006 Focus all I had to do was install a jumper wire between to contacts on the signal light stalk and now all 4 come on when in high beam mode.

don't matter in Canada
Because ddm does not make a 9006hi/low

I ordered the aftermarket headlights with projectors and halo's and installed HID's. I only installed HID's on the projectors because it does take a second for the bulbs to warm up, which would suck if you swapped to your highs on a dark road, so I left the highs alone. I wired the highs and lows together with a high powered diode so that when the highs are on, my low's would come on giving more light. I've had them on for years now and no cop has ever said anything to me, so you'll never get stopped for it.

I want to get some aftermarket projector headlights with angel eyes and halo's. But i've heard that the projectors are not bright at all and HID's are the way to go! But I really like the look/style of the projectors! My question is can I get the projector headlights and put HID lights in them??? If anyone has heard of this or has it themselves, please inform me on what to do and where you got your's from! Thanks in advance!!!!

coldsteel86 - if a bulb burns out you can just replace it with another, same with the ballasts. ebay has been where I've gotten them actually. A set of HID's with the slim ballasts for only 60 bucks, can't beat it. You just have to remember to get the same replacement bulb is all, but very simple.
RockyF150 - I like the headlights, definitely gave the truck a more up to date look. I would recommend not switching out the brights for HID's, but if you wire it where your brights come on with your lows then it won't leave you in the dark when you switch over. I went that way with my old expedition and it worked perfectly.

I also had a problem with condensation in my headlights when I first got them. I ended up opening up the back of the headlight so that all the water could evaporate from inside, then I purchased some silicone sealant from the hardware store, put the headlight back together, and sealed the thing water tight. I've never had any issues since then with any water building up in the headlight. I hope that helps
