I can see my options... But I still have one important unanswered question... DRL's. How are the HID's gonna work with the reduced voltage of the DRL's? I'm under the impression that they need clean, regulated 12v vehicle power. Am I wrong??

You don't need to send your headlights to bilinvic Retrofits. The prices on my website include brand new OEM headlights. In fact, I encourage my clients to keep their original headlights as spares in case of any fender benders. If the headlights are damaged, I can rebuild an identical replacement and your stock headlights can be remounted very easily because everything is plug 'n play.
With retrofitted headlights, done properly with top-notch components, I have yet to see another vehicle on the road that has lighting performance that even comes close to the output of my own retrofitted lights; and this includes vehicles that surpass $100k in value.
FYI, even with the Mini H1 projectors, the reflector bucket needs cutting for them to be aligned properly. I don't use these projectors because they are more or less, "entry level".

If you want something in the interim to hold you over till you get it figured out, get a set of silver star ultra bulbs. They are not as bright or as crisp as the hid by any stretch, but they are night and day over the stockers. I have had them in for over a year, along with the silver star 9145 fog bulbs. I just bought the HIDs and am waiting for them to come in.
I took a pic of the silverstar ultras to compare with the HID once they come in. This is heads and fogs. Now, I took it with my phone, and I will admit they look a bit brighter in the pic than in person, but this will give you an idea. Once I get the HIDs in, I plan to take pics in the same location.
As for cheap plug and play, don't do it. HID bulbs in reflector housings are dangerous to everyone on the road, and they are illegal.

The supplied wire harness draws it's power directly from the battery; when in DRL mode, the HIDs are drawing 100% power and it's a non-issue. I've sold many headlights to fellow Canucks and there is zero issues with DRLs.

The only problem going with bilinvic Retrofits is the wait time. I'm currently booking into June. For some, that's a good thing because it gives them time to save the $$$.

Mr. Bill is right - you ain't the only Canuckistanian on this dirtball wif th' DRL thangies. The magic is in the harness. There are even articles on DRL redirect - to the fogs, fer example, to keep the main projectors OFF until you need 'em and put the brunt of the DRL running hours on the less expensive components ( and stay 'legal').
Git in the queue, er' git 'er did yerself - lotsa hep fer yall on here, aight, if'n yer so inclined.

Gentleman... I would like to thank you for your help... though you have confused me more in some areas, you have cleared up most, if not all of the prior confusion.
As far as a direction to go, I'm gonna hold off and do more searching and figuring before I commit and pull the trigger. As it is, I have a few irons in the fire regarding this truck and modifications... IE suspension and tuning.
Ya gotta hate having the modification bug! Sometimes it rules your life! I mean... I have been "tinkering" since I was sixteen... It's outlasted pets... and my marriage. Come to think of it, it may be the reason my marriage ended in the tank!
Oh well, that vehicle was worth it!

Something else for you to consider, occasionally Bil has some "one off" or slightly used Retrofitted lights for sale. Sometimes at a substantial savings if you're willing to take what is available. Keep an eye on his thread and check it frequently as they go fast once they're advertised. When I say fast I mean FAST as in minutes.
Good luck with what ever route you choose and remember there are always people here to help if you need more information
