OTRATTW switches.....

I spliced into the dimmer wire (purple w/white stripe IIRC) on back of the dimmer switch using a small PosiTap and ran a wire to the first switch and from there to the second switch etc. I have pictures of the first switch I installed here:

Just an FYI, the blue LEDs on the Carling switches from OTRATTW are crazy blindingly bright at night. I originally had a blue over blue and it was way to bright. At the time, the owner of OTRATTW suggested I spray Nightshades on the back of the rocker. Good idea, but I just swapped the blue over blue with amber over green and it works great. The green is actually a close match to the factory switch lights. Hope this helps. Hit me up if you have other questions.

That's what I read about the blue LEDS. I went with the amber and green ones.. it wont match the truck, but it wont blind me either lol

Do I need to use a relay? I had planned on tapping the reverse wire from the 7 pin harness to trigger the lights when the truck was in reverse.
Will the 7 pin harness be able to handle the additional 6amp load or no?

I would use a relay and also put a fuse between your lights and the truck's electrical system.

Personally, I know its over $300, but I plan on just buying the sPod because everything is already wired. All you have to do is plug in your switches, and plug your accessory into the terminals on the source box.
With the exception of wiring the independent light into the dimmer circuit it'll keep all of the amp draw off of your can bus circuit. That and it has a low battery cutoff, so it keeps you from leaving something on too long and having to get a jump.
Another really cool thing that I want to try out is the bluetooth remote switch controller. It'd be pretty cool to be able to turn the lights on or off from 10-30 feet from the truck.
I don't personally have any affiliation with the sPod guys, but my brother has one in his Jeep, and its pretty sweet. I think its worth the money just for the cleanliness.

Nice... But with 6 switches, Im sure it will get to be a PITA to remember which switch is for what accessory.. Maybe a 3 switch plate would be better..

I suppose the easiest thing is just use the first three then. With a switch panel containing only three, your somewhat limited on how many electrical components/accessories you can hook up. If you only ever use two or three, you're covered. But if you ever expand the number of accessories, having more or in this case six allows for greater flexibility.

Depending on what color you get, they can be bright. I got lower amber and upper green colors. They are NOT bright at all.
